Alexander Ovechkin, a Russian forward for the Washington Capitals hockey club, scored his 919th career goal. The athlete distinguished himself with HC Seattle, which took place on January 28.

The striker scored in the 43rd minute of the away game, realizing the majority and setting the score 1:3. This is his 22nd goal of the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season.

In the 2025/26 season, he scored 45 points (22 goals + 23 assists) in 54 matches, Sport-Express adds.

Before that, on January 24, Alexander Ovechkin scored a goal in an away match against HC Calgary Flames. The athlete scored in the 60th minute of the match, interrupting his goalless streak of five matches.
