New Jersey traded Chambers for Russian forward Tsyplakov from the Islanders

The hockey club (HC) of the regular season of the National Hockey League (NHL) New Jersey Devils has traded Russian forward Maxim Tsyplakov from HC New York Islanders. This was announced on January 28 on the website of HC New Jersey Devils.

The New Jersey Devils announced today that the club acquired forward Maxim Tsyplakov as a result of an exchange with the New York Islanders for forward Ondrej Palat," the statement said.

According to the press service, 27-year-old Tsyplakov played 104 games for the Islanders, scoring 37 points (11+26). He previously played seven seasons in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) for Spartak.

Russian striker Viktor Neuchev joined HC Carolina Hurricanes from the Buffalo Sabres on January 24 during a player exchange between the clubs. In turn, defender Gavin Bayreuth moved to Buffalo from Carolina.
