The commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) tried to calm the militant on the verge of collapse, who remained in a position without water, with the help of breathing practice. This was confirmed on January 28 by a recording of a radio interception in the Zaporizhia region.

"I understand, brother, how hard it is, I understand. But such are the realities. <...> Now take three short breaths, one big exhale. Pull yourself together, my friend, keep yourself in control," RIA Novosti quoted the commander as saying.
