Caracas intends to resolve the existing differences with Washington through diplomacy and political contacts, which have already begun to be established. This was announced on January 27 by Interim President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Delcy Rodriguez.

According to her, work on the creation of the agenda is currently underway jointly with US President Donald Trump and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

"(It's coming. — Ed.) on diplomatic dialogue to resolve contradictions in sensitive issues <...>, which should be included in the agenda within the framework of respectful relations between sovereign and independent countries accepted in the international community," Rodriguez quoted TASS as saying on the air of the Venezolana de Televisión TV channel.

The interim president of Venezuela stressed a day earlier that her state does not obey orders from external forces, but its own people. She added that Caracas is not afraid of interacting with Washington, which in turn should be built "on respect for international legality and respect for the dignity and history of Venezuela."

On January 21, Reuters learned about Rodriguez's plans to visit the United States. She herself promised, if she happens to go to Washington, to do it as befits a Venezuelan woman — with her head held high and the tricolor of her state unfurled.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
