Sobyanin spoke about popular children's clubs and sections in Moscow

There are about 140,000 associations in Moscow, on the basis of which urban circles and sections for children and adolescents operate, with a total of 89% of children aged five to 18 attending them. This was announced by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

"The most popular are creative directions. They were chosen by more than 390 thousand children," the mayor wrote on his channel in the MAX. — They are mostly interested in visual arts and choreography. Ballet or classical dance classes, for example, are available at the Moscow Palace of Pioneers.

Sports clubs and sections are also popular — almost 350 thousand children study there. The mayor named football and chess among the most popular sports, while parachuting and motorsport were among the most exotic.

Classes in technical disciplines are also in demand. Children, in particular, "master programming, 3D modeling and robotics, as well as learn how to create content for social networks," the mayor noted.

According to him, the students also demonstrate an interest in natural sciences. "Almost 35,000 children attend botany, zoology, ecology and biology classes, where they conduct research and develop projects to improve the urban environment," Sobyanin said.

In early January, the mayor named Moscow one of the global leaders in the quality of school education. He also spoke about the measures that the authorities of the capital are taking to further develop this area. In particular, the quality of natural science education is improving. "Additional math classes have been introduced at the elementary school. They help to develop logic and creative thinking of children," the mayor said.

The development of the Moscow Electronic School continues. As part of this project, the Digital Teacher service has been introduced, which uses neural networks to "select individual tasks, offer exercises to fill in gaps and build a personal educational route," Sobyanin said.
