The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade has proposed to introduce mandatory labeling of some household goods and toiletries from September 1, 2026. The relevant document was published on January 26 on the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts.

"After the words [of the existing law], "personal care products" should be supplemented with the words "household and sanitary products, toiletries," the text of the document says.

Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation proposed to introduce mandatory labeling of electronic cigarettes from April 1, 2026, the corresponding document was published on January 18. It is noted that participants in the turnover of nicotine-containing products will need to register the goods in the monitoring information system.
