Several major international sports federations will return the flag to Russian juniors in the next two to three weeks. This was stated on January 26 by Mikhail Degtyarev, Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC), during a speech at the 46th General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia in Tashkent.

"In the near future, a number of international federations will allow Russian juniors to compete under national symbols," he said.

The Minister clarified that the relevant agreements were reached following the results of the event. In addition, Degtyarev also held talks with representatives of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), heads of international federations and national Olympic committees.

According to Degtyarev, any international platform for the Russian Federation is an opportunity to prove themselves and gain support on the issue of restoring the rights of Russian athletes. He added that Russia continues to work on the return of its flag on the sidelines of the General Assembly, and Asian countries are providing broad support to Russia.
