AvtoVAZ tested the Lada Vesta 2026 model year in a new climate test chamber, in which the company checks the operation of the car's systems in a variety of weather scenarios — from the Arctic wasteland to the withering heat. The company's press service told about this in its Telegram channel on January 26.

The updated Lada Vesta was tested in extreme cold conditions. According to AvtoVAZ, the car successfully passed the cryotest: the remote engine start worked on the first attempt.

The climate chamber is designed for testing passenger cars and light commercial vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tons. It allows you to set the temperature in the range from +60 to -50 °C and humidity from 25 to 95%. The 8-ton complex has a special design: a housing made of heat-insulating sandwich panels with a stainless steel coating and an all-welded floor with a drainage system.

Earlier, laboratory tests of the Lada Iskra and the new Vesta took place in the climate chamber, and now the Lada Azimut crossover is being tested in it.

On January 19, auto expert Yuri Timkin listed the key features of the updated Lada Vesta. Thus, the claimed range of the remote engine start is 40 m. This feature allows, for example, to preheat the engine and interior before getting behind the wheel. He called keyless access another long-awaited innovation.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
