President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky's harsh criticism of European leaders during his speech at a forum in Davos, Switzerland, speaks to his despair and futile hopes for help from the European Union (EU). This was announced on January 26 by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.

In this way, he reacted to the words of the ex-comedian in Davos, where he allowed himself to speak negatively about the weakness of the Europeans against the background of tension in Greenland.

"Zelensky speaks out of desperation, as the leader of a country in an extremely difficult situation. I share his opinion that the Europeans could and should do more to support Ukraine," the head of the department said in an interview with ARD TV channel.

However, Pistorius further added that the Ukrainian leader may not be right about everything, and Europe is still "able to stand up for itself." According to the head of the German Defense Ministry, the EU's defense capabilities are only getting better every year.

On the same day, Kirill Dmitriev, special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, noted that Zelensky's speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos was unsuccessful. He added that the failure of the Ukrainian leader to make a decision on the cession of territories "delays the whole world."

The head of the Kiev regime on January 22 in Davos criticized the European Union for its inability to defend itself. The President of Ukraine also criticized the military capabilities of the Europeans, including the fact of sending 40 troops to Greenland.

The leader of the French right-wing Patriots party, Florian Philippot, in turn, noted that Zelensky threw a tantrum in Davos, as his speech was filled with insults. According to him, even Kiev's European allies were amazed by the rudeness of his speech.
