In order not to break down on orders from restaurants, Russians were advised to keep basic products for quick meals at home. About this on January 26, "Gazeta.Ru," said Zarifa Romanova, a nutritionist.

"As sources of protein that do not require cooking, I recommend purchasing the following products: canned turkey fillet in its own juice, salmon rice with soft cottage cheese, natural canned krill meat, Atlantic herring, salmon fillet slices, canned tuna, natural tuna for salads, chicken jelly, seafood cocktail, mackerel, sardines in their own juice or olive oil," the expert noted.

She added that protein should be supplemented with whole—grain cereals, legumes and vegetables, and healthy fats — nuts and high-quality vegetable oils - will help keep you full longer.

Romanova also recommended keeping sugar-free dairy products and pre-planned meals on hand so that delivery was not a necessity, but a conscious choice.

Earlier, on December 29, 2025, it was reported that Russians in 2026 will increasingly choose ready-made food due to time savings and increasing demand for portion and one-time solutions. The researchers noted that more and more households are living alone, and office workers are using services to power up between tasks, making eating part of the work rhythm.
