The State Duma proposed to abolish the income limit for deduction for a student child

The State Duma is considering the abolition of the income limit for deductions for a student child. This was announced on January 26 by the head of the State Duma Committee on the Development of Civil Society, issues of public and religious associations, Yana Lantratova, in an address to the head of the Ministry of Education and Science, Valery Falkov.

"I propose to lift the income restriction for the standard deduction for a child, including a full-time student under 24 years of age, by amending Article 218 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation and eliminating the limit of 450 thousand rubles, after which the tax deduction does not apply," RIA Novosti quotes the document.

It is noted that such a decision does not change the procedure for confirming the right: the parent confirms that the child is supported by him, and the student confirms full-time education.
