Corporal Rakhno covered the stormtroopers from a drone strike in his area

Corporal Alexander Rakhno destroyed an enemy drone that was trying to attack Russian attack aircraft. The press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation on Monday, January 26.

It is noted that the assault group, which included Rakhno, moved forward on a mission to capture enemy positions in one of the important tactical areas. The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), trying to prevent the advance of Russian forces, launched an attack on military personnel using quadcopter-type drones.

Noticing an approaching unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), the corporal rushed to a favorable position and opened fire on the target with standard weapons. As a result of accurate shooting, the threat was eliminated. After that, the assault group in full force reached the designated positions and gained a foothold on new frontiers without losses.

The Defense Ministry also said that Sergeant Evgeny Nizhnikov, as part of a mortar crew, completed the task of covering the attack aircraft and destroying enemy personnel. The calculation was able to destroy the AFU firing point with a machine gun, which contributed to the advance of the Russian Army.

A day earlier, the Ministry of Defense said that during a combat mission in an important tactical area, sailor Sergei Burulev, along with a detachment under his command, broke through the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, despite the organized all-round defense. As a result of the skilful actions of Sailor Burulev, the enemy's stronghold was captured without losses.
