Two people were killed in an accident in the Zolsky district of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), three more were injured. This was reported on January 25 in the State Traffic Inspectorate of the region.

"As a result of the accident, the driver of the ten, a 26-year-old young man, and his 29—year-old passenger, both residents of the village of Kurkuzhin, suffered life-threatening injuries," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

The incident occurred around 18:00 Moscow time. According to preliminary information, the driver of a VAZ-2110 car drove into oncoming traffic, where he collided with a VAZ-2114 car.

Two passengers of the VAZ-2110 car and the driver of another car were taken to the hospital, the ministry said.

Earlier, on January 24, a source from Izvestia reported that a hunter died in an accident in the Saratov region. While driving, the man behind the wheel lost control, the snowmobile skidded, and the passenger accidentally shot himself in the head.
