The actual owner of the Rendez-Vous chain of stores, Simon Bakhchinyan, in addition to Russian citizenship, holds a Cyprus passport, he also owns a number of French companies and luxury real estate in Paris, Saint Cloud and Courchevel, Izvestia found out. This is despite the fact that in 2016, almost half of the assets went to his ex-wife during the divorce. After 2022, Bakhchinyan formally transferred control of the Rendez-Vous business to his sister and son. But he attended a recent lavish corporate party in Courchevel in person. The celebrity's promotional trip to the elite resort itself was organized at a time when the Russian legal entity Rendez-Vous is listed as a debtor for enforcement proceedings and payments of pension contributions for employees. Paris Cypriots

Simon Bakhchinyan, whose family owns a chain of shoe and clothing stores Rendez-Vous, turned out to be a citizen of Cyprus. Izvestia found out by examining the documents of his divorce proceedings with Oksana Gamazina, which took place in 2016. The subject of the court's consideration at that time was assets worth €19.2 million — the property of six French companies, including villas, apartments, apartments, commercial premises, parking lots and much more.

In particular, the Cypriot citizenship of Simon Bakhchinyan and his son David Simonovich Gamazin is reflected in the founding documents of SCI Neon, a company registered in Paris, at 28 Faber Street.

According to the divorce documents, the property of another Bakhchinyan company, SCI SAR, is located at the same address. This is an apartment on the fourth floor with a separate entrance (three bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, an office, a gallery, a kitchen), as well as a room and a storage room on the seventh floor and part of the basement. This property is valued at €4.8 million.

In Paris, the real estate of another businessman's company, SCI DGB FREEDOM, is located. We are talking about an apartment in building 1-1 on Vauban Square, almost in the very center of the city.

"Apartment on the sixth floor, entrance A, elevator B, left door: entrance hall, kitchen, laundry room, living room, two bedrooms, bathroom, wardrobe, bathroom with shower and toilet, shower room with toilet, another toilet, corridors, terraces (to the courtyard and to the square)," the divorce documents say. documents about this property.

The cost of the apartments is more than €3.6 million.

At the time of the divorce, the couple also had real estate in the western Paris suburb of Saint-Cloud. We are talking about a complex of buildings and land plots with an area of about 3 hectares owned by SCI RSIA, located on Republic Boulevard and Michel Salle Street. Among them is a four-bedroom apartment, two parking spaces, a dovecote and a water tower.

This company also owns the Hameau Eiram Chaumière cottage in Lege Cap Ferré (near Bordeaux) on the shore of the bay, the facade overlooks the Courlis embankment, as well as a plot of land and a garden. The value of these assets exceeds €3.3 million.

Luxury in Courchevel

The Bakhchinyan family is connected with the Courchevel resort not only by the presence of the Rendez-Vous boutique there. As follows from the documents on the division of property by the former spouses, Bakhchinyan's companies SCI DERBY COURCHEVEL and SCI APRICOT own residential and commercial premises in the Residence Les Grandes Alpes complex at 1850 Courchevel, Saint-Bon-Tarantaise commune, which apparently includes the five-star hotel of the same name.

For example, SCI DERBY COURCHEVEL has two double garages and three commercial premises (shops), while SCI APRICOT has a plot of land, a four—bedroom apartment and three parking spaces.

According to the divorce documents, following the results of the trial, Bakhchinian received all the shares of SCI SAR, SCI DERBY COURCHEVEL, SCI APRICOT, ODS CONCEPT (thus, all real estate in Courchevel and part in Paris were transferred to him) worth more than €9.7 million. Oksana Gamazina also received all the shares of SCI RSIA and SCI DGB FREEDOM in the amount of more than €8.8 million.

At whose expense is the banquet

The Russian chain of Rendez-Vous stores and the boutique in Courchevel belong to different legal entities. In Russia, this is Rendezvous LLC. According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, until May 2022, Simon Bakhchinyan was listed as its sole founder. But then he transferred 100% of the shares in the company to his sister Mariam. According to Izvestia, she was previously listed in Rendezvous LLC as a seamstress with a salary of 80 thousand rubles. However, even after the formal transfer of ownership rights, Simon Bakhchinyan can be called the actual owner of the company — the share in the company transferred to his sister is under encumbrance, and Bakhchinyan himself acts as the collateral holder.

The Bakhchinyan family owns the Courchevel boutique Rendez-Vous through the French company ODS CONCEPT, whose registration documents state that it specializes in asset management.

After the ODS CONCEPT was transferred to Simon Bakhchinyan following the divorce, he managed this company until 2024, and then, according to Izvestia, transferred control of it to his son David. However, it can be assumed that he did not retire from this company either, as he personally attended the scandalous corporate party in Courchevel, as evidenced by the video from the event.

The corporate event in Courchevel was remembered by the participants with luxurious lunches and dinners, a performance by Patricia Kaas, skiing and snowboarding with helicopter transportation, champagne Ruinart and many others. The guests also arrived in Courchevel by helicopter from Geneva. According to Izvestia's calculations, a five—seat helicopter in one direction costs € 3-5 thousand, accommodation in the hotel Le Strato, where the guests were accommodated, in a room for two – € 2.5-9 thousand. Skiing and snowboarding, expensive champagne, delicious meals and snacks are an advantage to these expenses.

Thus, the celebration of the 16th anniversary of the Rendez-Vous boutique in Courchevel, which, according to the management, was the organizer of the event, could cost about 300 thousand euros.

According to ODS CONCEPT's annual financial statements for the period from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025 (the document is available to Izvestia), the company did not pay dividends, and its net profit amounted to €159.3 thousand. Over the previous three years, this figure amounted to €149 thousand. Thus, it turns out that a corporate event in Courchevel could cost the boutique an amount roughly comparable to its net profit in four years.

We walk in Courchevel, in Russia we owe

Russian Rendezvous LLC generated almost 37 billion rubles in revenue in 2024 (the latest available data), but the company's net profit fell 1.7 times compared to 2023, to 762.9 million rubles.

Despite the availability of profits, the company periodically has problems. So, in 2023, judicial district No. 4 of the Kirovsky Judicial District of Yaroslavl awarded Rendezvous LLC a fee of 11.1 thousand rubles. rubles, which the legal entity could not pay in any way.

In 2025, at least two property enforcement proceedings were initiated against Rendezvous LLC: judicial district No. 120 of the Moscow Judicial District of St. Petersburg and judicial district No. 4 of the Dzerzhinsky Judicial District of Yaroslavl.

In total, 17 enforcement proceedings have been opened against Rendezvous LLC for a total amount of 173.7 thousand rubles.

In addition, in 2025, the company twice acted as a defendant in arbitration in claims for non-payment of compulsory pension insurance contributions.

Also, according to SPARK, the company has been repeatedly warned by Rostrud. Among the latest is from November 20, 2025. Then the department received an appeal from an employee of the company about the violation of his rights in terms of working hours and rest time, non-payment of wages in full (application of fines).

Despite the widespread public outcry, as well as information about foreign citizenship and significant assets abroad, Bakhchinyan and family members probably will not have any particular legal problems in Russia, said Dmitry Krasnov, Honorary Lawyer of Russia, Chairman of the Board of the Moscow Bar Association No. 1.

It is possible to make claims to them only from a moral point of view, as to the participants of the scandalous "naked party". For example, for the fact that a company in Russia reduces its obligations to employees (Izvestia wrote about this), while its management spends hundreds of thousands of euros on corporate events. However, from a legal point of view, the possible options are not so clear, the lawyer noted.

— Firstly, they can undergo tax audits on the territory of the Russian Federation, — suggested Krasnov. — Secondly, it is possible to understand how they spent money in and out of foreign jurisdictions.

In addition, the lawyer noted, based on the presence of famous people at the holiday in Courchevel and assuming they receive certain fees for it, it is worth looking at whether taxes on this income have been paid, as well as whether the corresponding expenses are reflected in the accounting documents as advertising or marketing expenses.
