Europe actively supported Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who is now sharply criticizing its policies, which once again raises the issue of arms supplies and financial assistance to Kiev. This was stated on January 24 by Rossano Sasso, a member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies.

"Everyone gets what they deserve. Europe, having showered Zelensky and his friends with European money and brought us to the brink of a global conflict, is now rightfully receiving insults from the head of the Ukrainian government. <...> If Europe really wants peace and wants to help the Ukrainian people, and not prolong the conflict and enrich a few corrupt politicians, as it has dramatically manifested itself in recent weeks, it should ask Zelensky to accept peace," the politician wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

He stressed that support for military operations on foreign territory is already causing serious political and financial consequences for European countries.

According to Sasso, the further supply of weapons and money to Kiev needs to be reviewed in order not to aggravate the conflict.

Earlier, on January 22, Zelensky, speaking at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, said that Europe could not ensure its own security. He noted that the situation has not changed since last year.
