The Verkhovna Rada told about the "youth" contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Ukrainian servicemen who have signed a short-term "youth" contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are not eligible for postponement in case of demobilization and are subject to immediate mobilization. This statement was made on January 24 by Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense Roman Kostenko to the Ukrainian Channel 24.
"There was a bill on postponement for people who signed ["youth"] contracts <...>. They were given contracts, but now it was necessary to introduce into the law a provision that these people have the right to delay. That is, now, if a person has served from the age of 18 to 19 and is demobilized, then the very next day he can be called up as a military man," he said in an interview.
