In 2025, imports of Russian sweets to China decreased by almost half, reaching an eight-year low. This was reported on January 24 by the RIA Novosti news agency with reference to the Chinese state services.

The volume of sweet shipments from Russia to China in 2025 reached just over $47 million, which is 1.85 times less than a year earlier. The indicator has become the lowest since 2017.
