Wilfand reported abnormally warm weather in the Far East
Abnormally warm weather persists in the north of Yakutia and in the Magadan region. This was announced on January 24 by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand.
"Very warm weather persists in Chukotka, Kamchatka, northern Yakutia, and the Magadan Region, where temperatures are 20-25 degrees above normal, and even a thaw of +2 on the Pacific coast. In the east of Chukotka, -20," TASS quoted him as saying.
This is due to the cyclone in Kamchatka, which throws warm Pacific air into these regions.
