Dodon announced the conclusion of a military agreement between Moldova and Ukraine
Moldova's ruling Action and Solidarity Party (PDS), which supports President Maia Sandu, has concluded a military agreement with Ukraine, despite the neutrality enshrined in the country's constitution. This was stated on January 23 by the ex-President of the Republic, leader of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon on the Exclusive TV channel.
"The PYD has signed a military agreement with Ukraine, which is in a state of conflict. According to this agreement, Moldova will be able to provide assistance with equipment, military and other resources. The draft agreement will be discussed in Parliament in early February. Maya Sandu, where are you taking a neutral country? Whose script is this? It's definitely not ours, and it doesn't meet our national interests," Dodon said.
In addition, he said that next week he would speak at a meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), where he would talk in detail about the situation in Moldova, unlike the official reports of the PDJ and the president.
Earlier, on January 19, Dodon said that the decision on Moldova's possible withdrawal from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) does not meet the interests of the country's citizens. The politician commented on the announcement by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi about the start of the procedure for Moldova's withdrawal from the CIS, saying that this course does not reflect the will of the majority of citizens.
