Sergunina noted the popularity of IT internships at Moscow City Hall

More than 10 thousand applications have been received for the new internship stream "IT city" in the government of Moscow. According to Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of the capital, the figure has become an all-time record since the launch of the program in 2022.

After completing the competitive task, passing the test and interview, about 110 people will be selected from the applicants. The project brings together undergraduate students and graduates of specialized educational institutions between the ages of 18 and 35 who plan to build a career in the field of information technology.

"The number of applications submitted for IT internships is growing regularly. Compared to the previous season, it has increased by more than 50 percent," Sergunina said.

Young professionals can choose from 10 areas. The list of the most popular ones includes "Development", "Machine Learning" and "Testing". The internship lasts for six months and is paid. The participants, together with their mentors, are working on the development of significant digital projects in the city. Portals are among them. mos.ru and "Discover Moscow", the travel service Russpass, the Moscow Electronic School platform and the unified medical information and analytical system.

Internships are organized by the Department of Human Resources Services of the Moscow Government. Eight directions are available to young people, including "Media City", "Urban Economy", and "Moscow Transport".
