1.3 tons of dangerous zucchini and lettuce found in Krasnoyarsk

Another batch of infected imported vegetables was detained in Krasnoyarsk. We are talking about 1.3 tons of zucchini and fresh lettuce from China, the press service of the regional Rosselkhoznadzor reports.

The cargo arrived at the phytosanitary control point Agroterminal-Customs. During the inspection, it turned out that the products were affected by Western flower thrips.

Western flower thrips is one of the most dangerous pathogens for plants, it causes rapid spoilage of vegetables and fruits. The quarantine pest poses no danger to humans.

According to the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, according to the results of the inspection, the products were sanitized. After that, the vegetables were allowed to be sold.
