A ballet dancer was stripped of his armor in Ukraine due to a tour with Swan Lake
Sergei Krivokon, soloist of the Ballet of the National Opera of Ukraine, was stripped of his military service armor due to his participation in a tour in Europe with the work of composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky "Swan Lake". This was reported on January 23 by the newspaper LB.ua .
"The soloist of the National Opera, Sergei Krivokon, was stripped of his armor due to his performance in the ballet Swan Lake, directed by Russian dancer Lev Ivanov," the article says.
At the same time, the pages of Krivokon and ballerina Natalia Matsak have already been removed from the website of the National Opera.
Earlier, on January 22, it was reported that Matsak and Krivokon were facing dismissal for participating in a European tour with a production of "Swan Lake" by composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky. It was noted that the Ministry of Culture accused the artists of violating the theater's principled position on removing works by Russian composers from the repertoire.
On the same day, Italian cartoonist and artist Mauro Senesi, in an interview with Izvestia, said that European propaganda was trying to break the deep cultural alliance that exists with Russia, commenting on attempts to dismiss him for participating in Swan Lake. In his opinion, art, although not directly related to politics, is one of the highest forms of its expression.
