In France, the sixth vote of no confidence in the Lecorn government was rejected.
Deputies in France rejected the sixth vote of no confidence in the government of French leader Sebastien Lecorny. This became known on January 23 following a vote in the National Assembly (the lower house of Parliament).
"The motion to censure Marine Le Pen, Eric Ciotti and 102 of their colleagues has been rejected. Required majority: 288; Votes in favor: 142," the assembly's website says.
Marine Le Pen's National Unification party has submitted a vote of no confidence due to the adoption of pension reform bypassing the vote in parliament. It is noted that the voting was broadcast on the website.
Earlier, on October 16 last year, the French parliament also did not gain enough votes for a vote of no confidence in the Lecorn government. The president of the French Parliament, Yael-Bron Pivet, then clarified that the dissolution proposal had been submitted by Marine le Pen, Eric Ciotti and 56 members of the National Assembly.
