With his criticism of Europe, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is trying to interfere in the internal affairs of European states and push them to renounce national sovereignty. This was announced on January 23 by the leader of the French right-wing party "Patriots" Florian Philippot.

"Zelensky wants to interfere in our internal affairs and force us to give up the sovereignty of our countries!", Philippot commented on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

The reason for the sharp reaction was Zelensky's speech at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, which took place the day before. In his speech, he criticized European countries, accusing them of inaction and lack of independence, and called on Western allies to increase support for Ukraine.

The French politician called the speech of the Ukrainian president a "fit of madness," noting that even supporters of deep European integration, according to him, were stunned by the sharpness and form of the statements.

In this regard, the leader of the Patriots party called for stopping financial assistance to Kiev, stopping arms supplies, and abandoning the idea of possibly sending French troops to Ukraine.

Earlier, on January 22, Zelensky, speaking at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, said that Europe could not ensure its own security.
