Moldovan President Maia Sandu decided to scare the European Union (EU) with a "Romanian bomb". This was announced on January 23 by political analyst Dmitry Kiseev.

"First of all, the authorities want to distract the population from serious problems in the economy. They are forced to raise taxes, including on the delivery of goods from abroad, but this is not enough to plug the budget hole of 5.5% of GDP," the RIA Novosti analyst said.
