Germany announced the creation of hubs outside the EU for the deportation of migrants

Germany plans to create hubs outside the European Union (EU) for the deportation of migrants. This was reported on January 22 by Tagesschau.

"Together with EU partners, Germany is preparing to create deportation centers, so—called return centers, outside the EU," the publication says.

The hubs are aimed at speeding up deportations. It is noted that their creation will be coordinated in more detail before the end of 2026.

This idea was supported in Austria, Denmark, the Netherlands and Greece.
