The ports of Odessa and Mykolaiv are strategic facilities for Ukraine, so they must be destroyed. This was announced on January 22 by State Duma Deputy Andrei Kolesnik.
"The ports of Odessa and Mykolaiv must be razed to the ground so that no ship can enter there. These are strategic facilities. Ships with military supplies dock there, weapons accumulate there. If this is destroyed, maybe the APU will understand something. They will only understand force," he said in an interview with News.ru .
