Forecasters predicted a sharp warming in Moscow by the middle of next week
In Moscow, the temperature after a hard frost at the weekend will rise by almost 20 degrees by the middle of next week. This was announced on January 22 by the head of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand.
"It's still cold on Monday, 7 degrees below normal. The temperature is already forecast to be no higher than minus 20, and in the afternoon there will be a noticeable increase, because the pressure will drop at the beginning of next week," he said in an interview with TASS.
According to him, on Tuesday the temperature will still be below normal by a couple of degrees, but night temperatures of minus 10-13 degrees are already expected, and daytime temperatures of minus 4-8 degrees.
"It's still cold weather relative to the norm, but still a little higher than at the weekend," Vilfand added.
Earlier this day, forecasters predicted the most severe frosts for this week in Moscow on the night of January 25. In the Moscow region, the temperature will drop to -27 degrees in some places.
