China has increased fish exports to Russia to a record high
In 2025, China significantly increased fish exports to Russia, reaching a record high of $188 million. This was reported on January 22 by RIA Novosti, citing data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China.
The total value of fish shipped from China to Russia last year amounted to $141.1 million, which means an increase of 34% in annual terms and the highest figures since 2015. The main share of supplies last year was frozen fish, which brought China $132.6 million, as well as fish fillets ($52.6 million) and dried fish ($2.9 million).
In general, the trade turnover between Russia and China by the end of 2025 did not reach last year's mark of almost $ 245 billion. This decline was caused, in particular, by a decrease in world energy prices.
Earlier, on January 20, it became known about a 42% reduction in passenger car exports from China to Russia. In 2025, China increased exports of motor vehicles (including both passenger cars and other vehicles) by 30%, to 8.32 million. Their cost amounted to $142.45 billion ($110.41 billion is for passenger cars).
