US President Donald Trump's policy towards Greenland is causing serious concerns among the leaders of the European Union (EU). This was reported by the Politico newspaper on January 22, citing a European diplomat.

"This is (US policy. — Ed.) causes a kind of fear in the European Union. We understand that new times have come, and traditional approaches such as rules and laws are not always applicable," the article says.

Other European officials also believe that the situation with Greenland is "shaping a new reality," since now "even US allies may be at risk of manipulation" by the American leader.
