The Russian Olympic Committee has approved the mascot of the national team

The Russian Olympic Committee has officially registered the national team's mascot in the form of a teddy bear. This became known on January 22.

The updated mascot is based on the official mascot of the 1980 Olympics. He is a full-length brown bear with a medal on his chest, where the logo of the Russian Olympic Committee is depicted.

According to RIA Novosti, the application was submitted in July 2025. In January, Rospatent made a positive decision on registration.

Following the results of the ROC meeting, a new charter of the organization was adopted, and its head intends to achieve the restoration of its status.
