- The foreign ministers of eight Middle Eastern countries announced plans to join the Peace Council
The foreign ministers of eight Middle Eastern countries supported the initiative of US President Donald Trump and expressed their intention to join the Peace Council. This was stated on January 21 in their joint statement on the website of the Foreign Ministry of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
"The Foreign Ministries of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Turkey, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt welcome the invitation extended to their leaders <...> to join the Peace Council," the document says.
Each country will sign the documents in accordance with all necessary legal and other procedures, adds "Газета.Ru ".
The Ministers reaffirmed their countries' commitment to support the implementation of the Peace Council's mission as a transitional administration to strengthen a permanent ceasefire, support the reconstruction of Gaza, and promote a just and lasting peace.
Earlier in the day, Egypt accepted Trump's invitation to join the Peace Council organization. Azerbaijan, Argentina, Bahrain, Belarus, Hungary, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Israel, and Morocco have previously agreed to the initiative to join the council.
At the same time, the leaders of Western countries have so far refused to participate in the "Peace Council." As political analyst Vladimir Olenchenko suggested on January 21, this is justified by their unwillingness to formalize Washington's dominance. Because in such conditions, European countries will fade into the background and turn into ordinary participating countries.
