Experts have calculated the cost of owning Lada Iskra

The expenses of the owner of the Lada Iskra sedan will amount to 1.38 million rubles over five years of ownership. This was reported on January 21 by the analytical agency Autostat with reference to its calculations. They are based on the Comfort model with a 1.6-liter engine and a five-speed manual transmission, which costs 1.28 million rubles.

The calculations took into account that the car's mileage in five years would be 100,000 km, the Samara Region (Iskra's sales leader) would become the region of operation, and the owner would be 35 years old with 10 years of driving experience. A month of operation of the sedan will cost him 23 thousand rubles, and 1 km of mileage — 13.8 rubles.

The owner will spend the most money from the amount of 1.38 million rubles spent over five years on the purchase of gasoline — 555.7 thousand rubles (40% share). It also includes a 30% loss in the cost of the car itself (408.6 thousand rubles). The remaining 30% is the cost of car insurance (CTP and CASCO), transport tax, purchase of tires and maintenance.

Experts also calculated the cost of owning Lada Iskra in other regions. For example, in Tatarstan it will amount to 22 thousand rubles per month, in the Krasnodar Territory and St. Petersburg - more than 24 thousand rubles. At the same time, in Moscow, Bashkiria, Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk, Novosibirsk, Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod and Rostov regions, this figure amounted to 22-23 thousand rubles.

Lada to launch crossover, van and sports car on the market

Sergey Kornienko, AvtoVAZ's head of product marketing, said on January 14 that AvtoVAZ plans to launch production of the Lada Vesta Sport in the spring of 2026, with sales starting closer to summer. The sports modification will be equipped with a 1.8-liter engine with a capacity of 146 hp, it will be combined with a six-speed manual transmission. The Sport version will receive both a sedan and a station wagon. The pre-production Vesta Sport was shown during AvtoVAZ's press conference in Moscow.
