Kalashnikov began production of improved PPK-20 submachine guns
The Kalashnikov Concern began to produce an improved version of the PPK-20 submachine gun based on the experience of a special military operation. This was announced on January 21 by the press service of the organization.
"Kalashnikov Concern JSC has begun fulfilling contractual obligations in 2026 for the manufacture of 9-mm Kalashnikov PPK-20 submachine guns, improved on the experience of effective combat use," the Telegram channel said.
It is specified that due to the changes, the range of cartridges used by these weapons has been expanded. The organization added that the features of the model include an adjustable and folding stock on the right side, as well as a two-way fire safety switch.
Earlier, on January 19, Alan Lushnikov, CEO of the Kalashnikov concern, announced that the shortened AK-12K assault rifle was designed and put into production in six months. According to him, in conditions of dense urban development, an efficient and compact product is needed, so the new machine will be convenient to use to perform tasks in relevant missions.
