The planned announcement in Davos of an $800 billion plan to rebuild Ukraine has been postponed amid disagreements between the United States and the European Union over Greenland. This was announced on January 20 by the Financial Times newspaper, citing officials.

"The planned announcement this week of an $800 billion 'prosperity plan' that was supposed to be agreed upon by Ukraine, Europe and the United States at the World Economic Forum in Davos has been postponed," the newspaper quoted one of the officials as saying.

It is noted that the signing of the plan was postponed due to disagreements between the leaders of the EU and US President Donald Trump over the claims of the United States to Greenland, as well as because of the proposed "Peace Council" by the American leader.

The Politico newspaper reported on January 19 that the topic of Ukraine at the annual session of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos may fade into the background due to the discussion of the situation around Greenland. The publication notes that European politicians view the current situation as the most serious crisis in transatlantic relations in recent decades.
