The United States has deployed an F-15 fighter wing at a base in Jordan. The Air and Space Forces Magazine wrote about this on January 20.

"12 F-15E fighter jets assigned to the 494th Fighter Squadron at the Royal Air Force Lakenheath Air Base in the United Kingdom took off towards the Middle East with the support of KC-135 Stratotanker tanker aircraft," the material says.

The Central Command of the US Armed Forces, in turn, posted on the social network X (ex. Twitter) photo with one of the planes of the 494th squadron in Jordan. It is noted that the presence of the F-15 "contributes to regional security and stability."

Fox News reported on January 15 that the United States was deploying forces to the Middle East amid Trump's consideration of the possibility of a strike on Iran. Later, the TV channel, citing the military, added that at least one American aircraft carrier was heading to the Middle East. It is specified that these measures are aimed at providing the US president with operational military capabilities in the event of an appropriate decision.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
