The average price of a taxi ride per kilometer in December 2025 in Russia exceeded 50 rubles for the first time. This was reported on January 20 by RIA Novosti with reference to the analysis of statistical data.

According to the agency, at the end of last year, the average cost was 50.16 rubles per km, while it was lower in 54 Russian regions. Thus, the lowest figure was recorded in Ingushetia — 18 rubles/km. Next in the ranking are the Lipetsk region (23.3 rubles/ km) and Chechnya (25.6 rubles/ km).

Less than 30 rubles a kilometer by taxi cost in the Stavropol Territory, Bryansk, Tver, Omsk, Belgorod, Yaroslavl, Kursk and Oryol regions, as well as in Karachay-Cherkessia. This indicator was also lower than the average price in the Krasnodar Territory, Kaliningrad Region, Altai Territory and Orenburg Region.

The most expensive taxi among the regions of the Russian Federation was in the Nenets Autonomous Okrugs (170 rubles/km) and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrugs (154.7 rubles/km), as well as in Chukotka (125 rubles/km).

Earlier, on January 19, it was reported that the most common taxi car in Russia is the Hyundai Solaris, which accounts for 21% of all cars. Kia Rio is in second place with a 19% share. Thus, co-platform Solaris and Rio form about 40% of the Russian taxi fleet.
