56 Russian civilians, including three children, were killed by attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in 2026, Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry's ambassador-at-large for crimes committed by the Kiev regime, said on January 20.

"In 2026, 227 Russian civilians have already suffered from the actions of Ukrainian militants, 56 of them were killed, including three minors," RIA Novosti quoted Miroshnik as saying.

He noted that in the vast majority of cases, victims suffered from the use of weapons supplied to the Kiev regime by foreign sponsors, primarily the European Union (EU) states and the so-called "Ramstein group."

Earlier, on January 15, the governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, reported that 16 women, six men and two children were killed as a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on the village of Khorly in the Kherson region. According to him, the process of identifying the bodies and identifying the victims is currently underway.
