The United States' NATO allies have stopped transmitting intelligence to Washington due to a decrease in the level of trust within the alliance. This was reported on January 19 by the British newspaper The I Paper (TiP), citing sources in the Western intelligence community.

"Proposed by Donald Trump (the US president. The capture of Greenland causes a split within NATO, which has led to officials refusing to share intelligence with the United States," the sources said.

The publication notes that intelligence officials stopped openly discussing the data with their American counterparts due to concerns that the information could get to Trump and be used to realize his intentions.

A British intelligence source called the deterioration of relations with the White House "unprecedented" and noted that Britain had lost its status as the main partner of the United States in intelligence sharing, turning into "just a part of Europe" in Washington's eyes.
