Russian Ambassador Barbin spoke about Denmark's role as one of Kiev's main sponsors.

Copenhagen is one of Ukraine's main sponsors and seeks to inflict a "strategic defeat" on Russia. This was announced on January 20 by Russian Ambassador to Denmark Vladimir Barbin.

"Since the beginning of its operation, Copenhagen has provided assistance to Ukraine in the amount of €10.5 billion, including €9.5 billion in military support. Denmark is one of the main sponsors of the Kiev regime, and advocates inflicting military and strategic defeat on our country," the diplomat said in an interview with TASS.

According to Barbin, the head of the Danish government, Mette Frederiksen, considers a possible Russian victory as a "catastrophe" for the West and the international order, and officially declares that peace in Ukraine may be more dangerous for Denmark than the continuation of the conflict.

On July 1, the Kingdom will take Poland's place as President of the EU Council.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Barbin described Copenhagen as "maniacally" determined to confront Moscow. This, in his opinion, makes normal cooperation between the countries impossible.
