A US Navy reconnaissance aircraft flew over the Black Sea towards Sochi

A U.S. Navy anti-submarine reconnaissance aircraft was spotted flying over the Black Sea in the direction of Sochi. This became known on January 20.

According to RIA Novosti, the Boeing P-8A Poseidon aircraft took off from the Italian island of Sicily and entered the Black Sea from the Bulgarian Varna. He then proceeded through Romanian airspace and headed towards Sochi, without approaching the Republic of Crimea.

After performing the maneuver in the area of Georgian Batumi, the aircraft turned around and headed back to the place of departure in Sicily.
