The Criminal Code may be fined up to 300 thousand rubles for late snow removal.
In Russia, management companies of apartment buildings can be fined up to 300 thousand rubles for improper snow removal in courtyards and on roofs, as well as for untimely removal of icicles from facades. This was announced on January 20 by Alexander Aksenenko, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Communal Services.
"However, it often happens that the yard is already completely filled up, and there are no services even on the horizon. In this case, residents should not just "hurry up" the criminal Code with a call, but also record the fact of violation of deadlines in order to file a complaint about non-fulfillment later. You can submit it to the state housing inspectorate and Rospotrebnadzor — the responsible organization may face a fine of up to 300 thousand rubles for delays in cleaning," Aksenenko told RIA Novosti.
According to him, snow removal should begin after the first five centimeters of precipitation and be carried out every three hours during heavy snowfall. Roofs along highways, pedestrian zones, and playgrounds must be cleaned within two days of snowfall, while dangerous areas should be fenced off for pedestrian safety.
