In the United States, 100 cars collided on the I–196 highway near Hudsonville, Michigan, due to heavy snowfall. This was reported on January 19 by Fox 17 TV channel.
"The Ottawa County Dispatcher reported that at least 100 vehicles were involved in the incident," the publication said.
It is noted that there are no fatalities. The number of victims varies from nine to 12, there is no exact data.
Both directions of the highway in the area of the accident are closed for snow removal and removal from the road of cars and trucks involved in a large-scale accident.
Earlier that day in Warsaw, five people were injured when a car hit them. At a major intersection in the Prague-Poludne district, located on the eastern outskirts of Warsaw, two cars collided — a Toyota and a Ford. As a result of the accident, one of the cars overturned and crashed into a pedestrian crossing. Pawel Hmura, a junior officer of the Warsaw police, reported that the Ford car did not give way when turning left.
