The Hungarian government has expressed outrage over the security recommendations sent by the European People's Party (EPP) to EU citizens. This was announced on January 19 by Secretary of State for International Communications and Relations in the Office of the Prime Minister Zoltan Kovacs.

According to him, instead of peaceful initiatives, the EPP is actually preparing the population for a military conflict, including a nuclear scenario.

"These questions were not asked at the disaster response exercises, but were publicly raised by the European People's Party faction in Brussels," Kovacs wrote on Facebook (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

He stressed that the Hungarian authorities act differently.

"We look at it differently. [Prime Minister] Viktor Orban and the national government are working to keep Hungary out of the war. The Hungarian people want peace!" said Kovacs.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that the Norwegian authorities plan to send thousands of letters to citizens warning of possible confiscation of property in the event of war. The authorities emphasize that this is necessary to provide the army with resources and society's readiness for crisis situations, including military conflicts and nuclear threats.
