Businessman Deripaska commented on the Greenland security crisis
It is more profitable for the European Union (EU) to pay Russia for security in Greenland, since the situation around the Danish island has reached €2.5 trillion. This was announced on January 19 by businessman Oleg Deripaska.
"The stakes are rising, and €2.5 trillion is already at stake. <...> It will be possible to sign an agreement on security and cooperation with the Russian Federation," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
In his opinion, the EU's actions are not calculated from a financial point of view, and an agreement with Russia would be beneficial to Europe.
