U.S. Congresswoman Luna supports Putin's invitation to the Peace Council
American Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna has spoken out in support of Russian President Vladimir Putin's invitation to join the "Peace Council" to resolve the situation in the Gaza Strip. She announced this on January 19 on the social network X.
Luna commented on the news that the Kremlin has received and is studying the relevant proposal.
"The legacy of the President [of the United States Donald — ed. There will be peace after Trump," the congresswoman wrote, attaching a link to the publication.
The news referred to by Luna was accompanied by a joint photo of Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump from a meeting in Anchorage.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that Putin had received through diplomatic channels an invitation from the United States to join the "Peace Council" to resolve the conflict in the Gaza Strip. The Russian side said it was carefully studying the proposal and looked forward to further contacts with Washington to clarify the details.
It was also noted that Moscow regards the initiative as a recognition of Russia's influence on international processes, including in the Middle East.
