More than 102 thousand citizens plunged into the water at specially equipped sites in the Moscow region during the celebration of the Epiphany of the Lord. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Moscow region on Monday, January 19.

"Festive bathing from January 18 to January 19 was held at 205 specially equipped venues: over 200 thousand people took part in the event; more than 102 thousand people took a dip," the press service told the Moscow City News agency.

The ministry added that Epiphany night in the Moscow region passed without incidents and accidents thanks to the joint efforts of rescuers, doctors, police and volunteers.
