It became known about the storage of more than $ 5 million in the accounts of Tymoshenko and her husband in 2024

The leader of the Ukrainian Batkivshchyna party, Yulia Tymoshenko, who was given bail of about $760,000 by the court in a case of bribery of deputies, in 2024 jointly with her husband owned accounts with more than $5 million. These data are contained in the declaration of her property for 2024, which was reviewed by the TASS news agency on January 19.

It is specified that there were $5,085,970 in the accounts of Tymoshenko and her husband. At the same time, there was $4 million in one of the accounts belonging only to her. As Tymoshenko claimed, including at a court hearing, she received this money from an American company as "moral compensation" for her imprisonment. The politician did not specify which company she was talking about, but added that she had given the $4 million to her daughter to run the business.

According to the declaration, even without taking into account these $4 million, the Tymoshenko family had an amount equivalent to $1,058,970 in various currencies — hryvnias, euros, dollars and Czech crowns. Of this amount, about $380,000 belonged to Tymoshenko herself, and more than $600,000 to her husband.

In addition, in 2024, Tymoshenko was listed as the owner of jewelry and branded watches, the cost of which was not specified. Her husband, in turn, owned several cars. Of the real estate objects, Tymoshenko's husband owned a garage, and the apartment building in which the family lives has an area of 588 square meters. m with adjacent land plots, was leased.

On January 14, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) released audio footage of Tymoshenko's negotiations on bribing deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, where she offers them money for a "correct" vote. The bureau also showed footage of the head of Batkivshchyna during searches of the party's office.

Later, on January 15, Tymoshenko noted that Ukraine had been turned into a corruption hub at all levels, from the head to the last official. According to her, the Kiev authorities have identified her team as the only real opposition in the country, which confirms their actions against her and her team.
