A young lynx hiding in the grass was filmed in Transbaikalia
In Transbaikalia, a young lynx was photographed hiding in the grass. A picture with a predator was published by the press service of the regional Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on Monday, January 19.
Presumably, the footage showed a young individual who was not very afraid of humans and allowed them to get close to her. She was waiting for something, using her color as a disguise.
As noted by ChitaMedia news agency, the tassels on the animal's ears serve as a kind of antennas, helping to sensitively pick up sounds around. A lynx can hear the footsteps and even the breathing of other forest dwellers hundreds of meters away.
Earlier it was reported that a new version of the Red Book of Animals was released in Transbaikalia. The work on the publication was carried out for five years.
