The court arrested the head of the training center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Komi

On January 19, the court arrested the head of the training center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Komi Republic after the explosion of a stun grenade.

Earlier that day, it was reported that one of the victims of the explosion at the Interior Ministry's Vocational Training Center had died. The victim was initially in the city hospital of the Ezhvinsky district, then she was transferred to the republican hospital, but it was not possible to save the woman.

A fire broke out at the Interior Ministry's training center in Syktyvkar on January 15. At that time, it was noted that one of the reasons for the incident, upon which a criminal case was opened, in accordance with Part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence that negligently caused serious harm to health or death of a person") could be the explosion of a stun grenade.

The number of injured reached 20 people, nine of whom were in serious or extremely serious condition. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Komi Republic reported on January 16 that, according to preliminary information, the cause of the fire in the center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Komi was the unprofessional actions of one of the teachers during the lesson.

On January 17, the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Komi Republic reported that the investigative authorities had detained the head of the Interior Ministry center in Syktyvkar. It was noted that a criminal case had been opened against the chief on the grounds of a crime under paragraphs "c" and paragraph "d" of Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Abuse of official authority, resulting in serious consequences, committed by a group of persons by prior agreement").
